Is the chef not listening to any criticism of the food that is put out in the kitchen?

Why would he?

We arrived Sunday at 2:00 PM for what I thought would be lunch or dinner, but instead had to order from the Brunch Menu. The menu is pretty much all breakfast with their BBQ offerings. The place was packed when we arrived.

Continues to support my downvoted post that BR’s BBQ expectations are aweful. Im not so sure the ole boy from Pelican House is that far off for the masses.

But on topic, I made my last trip to BRQ a good while ago.

Agreed that the BBQ expectations here are awful. I've been in TX and Kansas City a good bit the past couple years for work and had what real BBQ should taste like. I have a hard time eating BBQ in Baton Rouge now because I know I will be disappointed.

I guess because a place the size of BRQ cannot be cheap to operate. Not with the large interior, extensive bar, and large menu. It was packed for Brunch, but then again so is almost every restaurant that serves brunch. No idea what it's like during the week.

I will go back just one more time to properly try the real dinner menu. It may be months before I do, but hopefully then maybe some improvements will be made.

Right. People here think TJ Ribs is great BBQ for crying out loud.
