No it isn't. The Tram had nothing to do with the train to NO. The Tram was all about connecting LSU with Downtown. Sure you could add onto the Tram system but it was all pie in the sky. It never made much sense to me because I could never see the demand; nor the practicality of it.

but the Tram would never serve the BR metro area unless there were major additions and the BR metro area isn't dense enough or big enough to support a Billion dollar Tram system connecting the bar entire area. You are talking about an area that includes BR, Donaldsonville, Zachary. Port Allen, Central, Gonzales, Walker, Plaquemine and St Gabriel.

If it costs 170 million for a 3 mile line what would it cost for a Tram to connect towns on the Westbank, Zachary/Airport, DS/Walker/Central/Baker and areas south of LSU like St. G even if the main line connected BR with NO?
