Love this bit of history.
The oven in Sig's was the original / precursor used by Ruth's.
The Chris started DTR, not in Nola.
Also, what we know as pepper sauce was originated in Plaquemines. I will try to get the name.
It is also said that battle ship gray was first put into use by colonial ships using river mud to cover their masts and bows as an element of camouflage to surprise the British.

I honestly didn’t even know this. That’s cool.
My moms side of the family is from Port Sulphur and stayed until Katrina. My uncle still owns a hundred or so orange trees down there. Hard to believe there was once a movie theater and thriving community there.
