I'll admit my wife looked at a couple of triple wides from Palm Harbor before settling on building the house we own now. Those triple wides were super nice. They actually looked like houses and we're in the 3000 square foot range. Marble, tile, granites counter tops, solid wood construction, custom cabinets, vaulted ceilings, had everything you could think of. Also was $300k before the land and development. Couldn't even imagine spending that on a mobile home. They were nice though but just thinking if I ever had to sell the thing. What a nightmare.

Tried to convince my wife when we got married to buy some land and a trailer until we saved enough to build our dream home. She was having none of it.

I lived in one my sophomore year of college for $300/month all utilities and dish included. Didn't bother me one bit.
