The reason I’m looking at the ATL area is because I want to stay within a days drive of Louisiana, with my sister living here, I am trying to stay somewhat south for weather reasons, I want to live close enough to a big metropolitan area where there is tons to do. It’s a plus that there is mountains within a short drive and beaches within a moderate drive. We have also been looking in suburbs outside Tampa and Orlando.

Why not just move to the Chattanooga area and avoid state income tax? Chattanooga obviously isn't atlanta , but it's a beautiful, great little city. Especially great if you like outdoor activities

Chattanooga is a great town, but his budget won't let him live on Signal, and he can't afford private school. The high schools in Hamilton county are flaming dogshit, and it is going to keep the town from being able to grow and attract top talent.

My wife and I love the area, but we need to move before the kids hit middle school age.
