Snapping kind of Mouse trap. Baited with a dab of peanut butter. You will hear it pop. Go and toss the body in the trash can and set it again in case he has a friend, which he usually does. Might catch both of them the first night.

I know people who smear a little peanut butter on aspirin tablets. They eat the tablet and bleed out (blood thinner). Trap works better/quicker.

Someone said glue pad. They work well, too, except you will likely have to deal with a live mouse, stuck to the trap. Just fold it over onto him and toss the whole pad into the trash. Traps are cheaper than sticky pads.
