The investigation is not over but the "collusion" argument as it pertains to hacking the election is toast.

Yeah, it's just hard to fathom to me how you possibly pivot from 'everyone was UNWITTING in everything these Russians were trying to do' to 'but, wait look at this, these guys were WITTING and happy to collude with them to steal it all from Hillary.'
What else could THEY have been doing in concert, other than the goofiness laid out here?

quote:No. But I'd be interested in seeing you string together a cogent argument and make that case. Since you're so sure it should be a pretty simple exercise. I would caution that assuming that the collusion case is closed based upon paragraph 6 of this indictment requires you to make a number of assumptions you aren't in a position to make incl: 1. These 16 individuals/entities are the final indictments in the information ops line of inquiry and 2. There are no other suspected instances of Trump team-Russia coordination in the other lines of inquiry. So we're throwing out Flynn, Papadopoulous, the Trump tower meeting, the sharing of actual "hacked" information from the DNC and other intrusions, and whatever else might be revealed by the financial crimes line of the investigation (including Gates, Manafort, and other Trump-linked persons and entities).
The investigation is not over but the "collusion" argument as it pertains to hacking the election is toast.
And no one is saying the collusion piece is there. But saying it's been ruled out by today's indictments seems a bit silly, no?
