Because making bombs requires knowing what the frick you are doing.

So you can't purchase a ready-to-use bomb, and they are not used frequently to murder and kill people en masse in this country.

Does this not make an argument for gun control? or is it our lack of gun control that makes guns a viable, safer alternative to bombs when wanting to kill as many people as possible?

Nope. If people wanted to kill in a world without guns, they would build bombs. You'd just be moving from one mode to another.

Let’s go ad absurdium on this then.

Let’s ban guns, knives, aerosol cans, gasoline, automobiles, chlorine bleach, and ammonia because all are capable of being misused to cause deaths.

Someone wanting to cause mass death will find a way to do it by misusing something legally available.

The 9/11 hijackers killed about 4000 people using box cutters to take over airliners.

People are using large trucks and SUVs to kill pedestrians.

People using gasoline to commit arson.

Let’s just get rid of all of it and then we’ll be safe... until someone makes a pointed stick to use on everyone else.

Bombs being illegal isn’t what is stopping people as much as having to know what you are doing to keep from killing yourself by accident.

Some dumbass could buy a crate of dynamite and then go full on Arzt by storing it improperly then accidentally blowing themselves up by mishandling dynamite that is sweating nitroglycerin.
