Unlikely at the federal level, but you might see a state like Florida make a move to regulate them. Both the Pulse shooting and the shooting yesterday were with semiautomatic rifles and 5.56 ammo. Wouldn't likely stand on appeal, but that's never stopped legislation from being passed.
