I thought kelly was considered one of the adults in the room.
He’s there to put out bigger fires than an a-hole who smacked his wife 10 years ago. Now hopefully he has learned to screen people better.

This would definitely blow over, IMO, if it was about Kelly (the adult, as you say) missing on Porter. A COS can't do that too many times, but I think he'd have a lot of credit built up to cash in on in that scenario.
But the issue is whether Kelly knew about Porter AND did nothing AND lied about it.
