Aren't you required to take 150 credit hours in order to sit for the CPA exam? I don't think 2 years of college would be enough to qualify. Now if you are arguing the qualifications to become a CPA is too closely tied to the university system and many irrelevant courses are thrown in, then take up the issue with NASBA and the state boards of certification.
Maybe there are schools out there that solely focus on 150 college credit hours related to the accountancy profession and don't require you to take history 1001 or other non-related courses.
