There’s a right way and a wrong to go about winning these titles. All titles are not equal. No one in the warriors holds the title they won with KD on the same level as the one they won without KD. No NBA fan holds the Cavs title over the depleted warriors on the same level as a lot of the others titles we have seen. I’ll take a lesser shot at a title for one that is better. A title with Lebron Chris and James isn’t special.

But the overall point I'm making is the Rockets have decreased the margin between the Warriors and another viable team with the acquisition of CP3 and Capela's emergence, just I don't think it'll be enough this year to supplant. I do like Golden State's bench though, not bad depth to have.
I think you’re underrating the Rockets. They’re 26-1 when Harden, Capela, and CP3 play... the only loss being by 2 points on the road. That’s an insane record with wins over the Warriors twice, Spurs twice, Minnesota, Cleveland, etc. Their average margin of victory is over 14 points.

Weird you mention the Cavs victory over a “depleted” Warriors but don’t mention the Warriors victory over the Cavs the year before when they were missing 2 all stars.. lulz

It is obvious who was the vastly superior team both years. They weren’t close either year. GSW has been the clear cut best nba team for four years now.

That's all well and good, but I'm not conceding them the crown until they defeat the Warriors, which I think is arguably the GREATEST NBA TEAM OF ALL-TIME, in a best of 7 series now I acknowledge they're creepin on them in some respect which is why I hold the position the WCF will likely be a close series with the Warriors ultimately prevailing but I'm not going over that edge, you're certainly welcome to if that's your inclination

It is not like he said it’s a lock or the rockets should be favored. Part of it is just the lifecycle of being rockets fan, this peak time for convincing ourselves into believing.

I am really looking forward to the potential 7 game series. Clint vs draymond is going to be awesome. Where the warriors are going to hide Steph on defense will be interesting.

Love missed game 3 with a concussion the year Cle won.

Excuse me if I don't feel bad for GS losing 3 close out games in a row, with 2 at home.

No draymond
No Andy bogut
Curry needing four different surgeries
Iggt can barely get out of bed

Most nba teams woulda won three in a row v that version of the warriors. Four of top 6 guys either out or severely limited.

The 2017-18 Warriors are not arguably the greatest team of all-time. This isn’t 2014-15.

1 game. Love was also out 1 game. This cancels itself out

No he didn’t. You are making stuff up. But rocket fans do love pulling the injury excuse so I’m not surprised

lol so? What kind of excuse is this

Except you know, the rockets lol

Now 2015 finals facts

No Love, no Kyrie. Just Lebron and a bunch of players who wouldn’t start on any other team except the Cavs. They had like a 7 man rotation and not by choice. Dellavadova has to spend a night in the hospital. Most nba teams would beat that version of the Cavs in a 7 game series. As a matter of fact, that was probably the weakest team from the east since the 2007 Cavs

False. And Cle lost Love for the same amount of time.

Injuries to guys who play ~10 minutes per game happen sometimes. Don't be a big excuse making baby, boom.

Curry needing four different surgeries
Athletes get surgeries all the time after the season. Alabama has a long list of players getting surgeries after playing great in championship games. Were Curry's stats not good enough for you? They were good enough to take down KD's scared arse.

Gotta try harder than this.

You just wait until their first game of the playoffs.

You'll see.

On Sunday, Mark Heisler of The Daily News reported that Curry could need shoulder surgery in the summer. “He’s hurting … even more than he acknowledged last week while withdrawing from the U.S. Olympic team. It’s not just the ankle and the knee that he sprained, sidelining him for six games in the first two rounds. “A source says Curry consulted an orthopedist in Southern California. Steph’s MRI showed issues with both shoulders as well as his knees, some of which may require surgery this summer,” Heisler reported on Sunday.

I don’t make stuff up bubba, both shoulders and both knees. but yea take that title.

Wait, so how many surgeries did he get?

Also, part of the reason GS got to the top was because Curry signed a smaller deal because he's an injury prone, frail basketball player.

That's part of what Curry is. No surprise he wasn't feeling great in the finals.

I’m just saying if CC won a title with golden state in that kinda physical shape I wouldn’t expect people to view it the same as other nba titles that were won against a team at their best. What is so good about beating a hobbled team to achieve greatness you want to beat a team at their best.
