Name Tenure
T.P. Heard 1933-55
Jim Corbett 1955-67
Harry Rabenhorst 1967-68
Carl Maddox 1968-78
Paul DIetzel 1978-82
Bob Brodhead 1982-86
Joe Dean 1987-2000
Skip Bertman 2001-08
Joe Alleva 2008-18
3 of the last 4 have been pretty damn bad. Who do you have?

Don't know much about the earlier ones, but unless they also came out and said the goal wasn't to win championships but to be in the hunt, amongst many other completely inexplicable things, I have a hard time believing any one is worse than joe alleva.

Brodhead actually did a good job in dragging LSU into the 20th century. He transformed LSU athletics into a money-making enterprise. His mistakes were pissing off just about everybody.
Paul Dietzel left a mess and LSU was about a million bucks in the red when Brodhead took over.
Joe Dean was really good at watching the bottom line, and not much else. I thought Skip did a good job except for hiring Smoke as head coach. At least he realized the error of his ways and fired him.
And Alleva is a trainwreck.
