Should have got the 60 volt flexvolt version. You can use those batteries with any 20 volt dewalt tool. The 40 volt battery is only compatible with the 40 volt tools.

I went with the 40v because it is their “commercial” line and got better reviews for longevity. I also own no 20v DeWalt tools. Most of my stuff is Makita.
