So how do IMDB User Ratings work?

People are spamming the vote. A good rule of thumb is to throw out all 10's and all 1's for high profile movies, then rate the film on a 8-point scale.

I do know they use a weighted scale, so not at ratings are equal. So if you have an account and rate everything a 1 or a 10 your vote doesn’t count as much


And don’t take IMDb ratings seriously until a month or 2 after it’s released

That vote on imdb? No. But right now, the movie has 4513 votes. 3993 of them are either 1's or 10's.
