It does seem like word would have circulated if this was true about Butler.
Regardless, many teams would welcome a corner of his abilities. Since Butler will be an unrestricted free agent, I am certain he will be playing for a different team next season.

If this was all true then why not just have him inactive? Something still not jiving on this deal.
