No one can deny the performances Brady has had IN the Super Bowls he's played in. But the road to get there? It's been much easier than the rest of the NFL has dealt with on average.
You usually get easier roads to the Super Bowl by winning the most games in your conference, and getting the higher seed. That's the entire point of higher seeds.
Also the AFC has had a better record against the NFC than vice versa in most seasons of Brady's career.
Only reason he beat the Jags and Titans this year to get to the super bowl is because those two teams beat the #2 and #3 seeds.
But sure let's do the checklist
2001: Beat a 13-3 Steelers team at Heinz with a Bledsoe bc Brady got hurt. Beat NFC #1 seed in Super Bowl. So they knocked off the two top seeds in the playoff picture
2003: beat McNair led 12-4 Titans Beat 12-4 Manning Colts at Gillette (they were a 3 seed) in AFC title game. Beat 3 seed NFC champ in SB Carolina
2004: Beat 12-4 Manning Colts in divisional round, beat 15-1 Steelers in AFC title game, then beat 1 seed Philly in SB
2007: Beat Jags (who beat the Steelers in wildcard round) and chargers (who beat the Colts in the divisional round.
2011: Beat Ravens in AFC title game. Same team essentially that won the SB the following year
2014: Beat Ravens and Colts, both who upset higher seeds to get to that round. Then beat the #1 NFC seed in Super Bowl
2016: Beat the AFC #3 seed Steelers and the NFC #2 seed.

This still doesn't address what I'm referring to:
The fact that all 3 of the other teams in the AFC East have been incompetent to downright abysmal for the duration of Belichik/Brady being in NE.
Also, on average, the NFC has been FAR more competitive than the AFC for the last 17 years. Brady and Belichik have basically sleepwalked their way to a bye every year since going to NE.
How anyone can argue against this is beyond me.
Again, I think Brady is the GOAT for his performances in the SB, but their regular season have been far easier than, Drew Brees and Sean Payton's, for example.
