I doubt it ever gets remastered, but it is backwards compatible.

We don't have any good mods for it which is odd. A game the loved and popular, one would think high res texture packs at the less. Nope.. nothing.

Another shtty thing Disney done was Legends and Canon. A lot of KotOR would be Legends. They only do Canon stuff now.

I didn't think about how Disney would be the nail in the coffin of a remastered KOTOR. Makes sense though. The thing is, it could easily be cannon, right? Who makes these approvals now?

Well.. Disney.

It is already deemed Legends.

Like all the shitty mobile phone games, and Battlefront 2 where Rey and Darth Maul duel in the Battle for Naboo

Some fans are "remastering" in the Unreal engine. Google KOTOR Apeiron. Too me at least, it looks like a whole new game and doesn't feel like KOTOR.

The good news really is that I think KOTOR has aged fine enough on its own visually to not really be in great need of a remaster. Native widescreen support would be swell though.

In terms of story yes.

That situation isn't story. KotOR is a story driven RPG.

I know. I am just pointing out a certain level of hypocrisy from Disney. I want to say EA used "canon" as an excuse for only having one era in Battlefront 1.

In my view, the old republic era should have never been made non-canon. It was a giant middle finger to BioWare and their currently running Star Wars MMO

This seems very doubtful unless they would get another developer to do it. Bioware is all in on Anthem right now. Pulling almost all of their team to work on that. They also just announced they are working on a new Dragon Age game. Hands are kind of full, and there is worry that if Anthem fails that EA may shutdown Bioware or change it drastically.

Hmm, actual BioWare (not the subsidiary studios) hasn't released a game since Inquisition back in 2014 which was well received and sold well.

Anthem just to me really seems like a game that's right up EA's alley that will result in huge fan backlash.

Anthem has been in development since 2012. Originally under Casey Hudson as director(mass effect director) but he is now in a higher role at Bioware. So I am not sure if it isn't their vision.

But EA is certainly going to put their hands in it. The next dragon age is going to be a "live" game as they are calling it. Which means they are looking for ways to make money after release. As it seems is the way now. How can we make money after the initial 60 dollars. Anthem is going to tap into this easily.
