Zinedine Zidane accepted his fate will be decided by February's Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain after Real Madrid were dumped out of the Copa del Rey by Leganes.

Leganes are the first team in Copa history to knock out Madrid at the Bernabeu after losing at home in the first leg and with the champions 19 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona, their chances of adding any domestic silverware to their Supercopa de Espana title look to be over.

And Zidane, who has led Madrid to successive Champions League titles, believes a meeting with PSG in the last 16 next month could decide his immediate future.

"Of course. That is really clear," Zidane said when asked if his job was on the line. "I am responsible for this, I'm the coach.

"So I must find solutions. I must take on the situation. I will keep always fighting, keep working, try and look for things to make the team better. Nothing more.

"I don't regret leaving out players. Some players needed to rest. On paper this was a competitive team, then in the first half no, we did not compete."

Wouldn't shock me and I honestly wouldn't be too upset. I'd hate to see him go, but it wouldn't be a huge loss, IMO.

ETA: There have been rumors that City will make a £100+ mil signing this summer and I'd assume it will be for a forward.

Kun is on the decline. Dybala probably gets the first call. Icardi will end up there. They aren’t paying out the arse for a 29 year old forward when they can get a guy under 25.

Belotti

I wouldn't be shocked to see either Griez or Dybala be a big target for City this summer.

I'm still on the Benzema sucks bandwagon.

Tell me more about his 5 goals vs. APOEL or whoever.
