Trump never approved of Wray -
Wray was formally sworn in on September 28, 2017, which was not attended by President Trump, marking the first time an FBI director has been sworn in without the President who nominated him present at the ceremony.
I was just looking into his experience and political donations. He was an assistant AG under W. Bush from 03-05 then private practice. It appears that all of his contributions have been to Republicans except for McCain.
