Before I start, I like Wade....think he has a bright future ahead of him. He will get us relevant within the next 3 years. But, LSU basketball has overachieved the first half of this season, and the first 3 SEC games. Waters is a special player, but he is young and very inconsistent. He can take a game over, then be virtually non existent ( like today). Reath is improving, and will be a solid player. But Waters got schooled today by Lee, also a freshman. We need to play tighter perimeter D and Waters need to be more aggressive.....every game. Next year should be the year we breakout with the recruiting class we have coming in. A

Can’t beat the refs kids played their hearts out today and the game was taken away by officials. The SEC is pure trash.

Before he went to starting both Reath and Epps we were 8-3 since he started using both bigs in the lineup we are 3-4. We need to go back to the smaller lineup to free up more space for Waters and use the full court pressure defense. The lack of rebounding isn’t going to change and playing the two bigs together just clogs up the paint and takes away space for Waters to operate. We’ve got to offset the possessions we lose from offensive rebounds by turning our opponents over with the press. Besides Waters and Reath pretty much everyone els we have is the same level player and we need all of them to contribute to be successful. The press will level out their minutes and give us more opportunities collectively. We’ve outscored our opponents by double figures while in the press it’s the only defense that’s worked for us. It creates turnovers and the pace we need to be effective and I’m hoping Wade starts using it and the smaller lineup exclusively.
