As a poor kid growing up in West Central LA we would drink pickle juice or did a few shots of vinegar before heading to the creek/lake. It worked like a charm as long as it is warm enough for you to break a sweat. That stuff comes out of your pours strong enough you can actually taste it on your arm providing you care to. Legions of no-see-ums, Gnats and mosquitos down yonder in the bottom for sure;) No problems mosquitos would actually land on you then take off as soon as their needle touches your skin. You will certainly not smell like stripper slime :) Got older and graduated to skin so soft probably similar to the Victoria Secret stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of them. Fishing the flats in Tampa/Boca mangrove gnats/no-see-ums will freaking destroy a grown azz man lol
