“Cans/buckets”. We take Freon bottles. Drill small holes in bottom and two inch or so hole in side. Set out now. When spring rolls around catfish will start spawning in them. No bait, catfish swim in and out. When I want to fry catfish go check them. Lots of times there will be two per bottle.

I don't understand how you catch anything worth cooking with a 2" hole for them to swim through. What am I missing here?

Gotcha. Kind of strange that you need a permit for that.
