Grunge didn't have a specific meaning except for 1 part; to be a non-rock star and who was the biggest rock star in the grunge era? EV/PJ.....Cobain was a distant 2nd.
For me (I'm an older guy too) AIC with Staley could put out Jar of Flies today and we'd like it.....same with Ten. A lot of other "grunge" was definitely fad-ish.
