Samsung Q& QLED TV picture "stuttering" question

So around Thanksgiving I had gotten the 2017 Samsung Q7 QLED TV 65". We like it a lot but on some TV programming on ATT UVerse and even some programming on Netflix, etc some of those shows "stutter".
Almost as if it's trying to output in 4k or at 60fps but the video was shot in HD and "stuttering" as it was also shot in 30fps.
Has anyone else experienced this type behavior at all? It does not stutter on every show though. 4k content on Netflix looks beautiful and so do other shows even on ATT UVerse. That leads me to believe it's not the TVs fault but the content coming across.
Are there any fixes for this at all?
I know the Apple TV had something similar where they patched a fix to downrender non 4k content so it wasn't pixelated and such.
What are my options here?

Have you updated the TV to the latest firmware via built in wifi? Do that first.
Then I would follow these calibration settings.
See if either of those fixes it.

Yea, the TV is connected to WiFi and I think there was a setting to auto update apps and firmware. Pretty sure I did once I got it but will check again tonight.
Will try those other calibration settings to. So the interesting thing is currently I run the Apps that come with the Samsung "Tizen" OS, like Hulu, Netflix, YouTube TV and such just directly off the TV OS. I'm wondering if I'd be better served to run off of something more beefed up like an Xbox One S (already own) or an Apple 4k TV or something?
ETA: Thanks for those Calibration Settings!

I use the built in apps on mine instead of my PS4 Pro and have never had any issues, the built in apps are great so it shouldn't have anything to do with them.

Yeah if anything I feel like built in apps on my lg and previous Samsung performed better than my Xbox or atv4k

One last question. I have ATT U-verse with fiber at 1000mbps and my 5ghz channel seems to keep getting disconnected from the tv. Whereas my 2.4ghz channel seems to never lose connection with the tv.
Any ideas or suggestions? The tv is probably 5 feet from the router on the other side of the wall.

Not too sure about that one. Any chance you can run a line from the router to the tv and just connect directly?

Unfortunately not without drilling through a wall and doing a patch over a firewall stud.
