This. Social Anxiety is very real and it’s a pain in the arse to deal with, but the fact is that you HAVE to deal with it. I don’t like to speak to people - even on the phone - much less speak in front of a group, but it’s part of life. In college, I was forced to do a group project in Sociology class. While I took charge behind the scenes on the actual work, I was letting someone else in the group do the presentation part in front of the large class, but they were botching the shite out of it. Since my grade depended on these dumbasses, I stepped in right in the middle of their speech and took over the speaking role. Nailed it and we got an A. Hated every second of it, but you can’t shield yourself from life.
