Does Alleva and the BOS think LSU fans will believe that Ensminger is the best OC choice in the nation? No way they believe it themselves.
Ensminger is dong well in his current position. Let him continue.
Search the nation for a great OC, then hire the person.
LSU's main weakness has been primarily QB which affects play calling.
LSU can not afford to fumble this decision.
O was hired with the understanding that he would hire the best OC/DC he can get.
Now Geaux get him!

Hopefully, they will promote E which will hasten the departure of Orgeron and Alleva. Collectively, they are going to run this ship into an iceberg. I think even the most ardent of O supporters are starting to see this.

Full steam ahead with Steve E.

If Alleva and O think hiring Ensminger is a good idea then I'm starting to lose my grip on reality. I don't know which way is up anymore.

Unfortunately this Titanic already hit an iceberg somewhere around Canada.
This crew needs someone to help patch the hole on offense.
They seem to have made an excellent OL hire.
Do the same thing for OC and call it a day.

Once again they will hire or promote a coach that no other school or AD would hire for the same position. East Texas Baptist University hasn’t even called Ensminger about an offensive coordinator position. I just don’t get it. Love Ensminger as a TE coach, not a coordinator.

Why in the world would any of us on here believe that a proper search would take place? This is Lsu and everyone is laughing at us.

Well, O did tell us at the very beginning that Ensminger was going to be the guy. We just chose to twist and distort what he was saying.

Why didn't O get rid of Canada prior to the bowl game, and let SE be the OC during that game?

Looks like O will get what he wants. I think he will lose his job quicker with the SE OC hire. It is hard to imagine that a program like LSU will not do a Nationwide OC search.

Bad news is that A&M and Bama will raid La. and pull away potential talent for the next guy. Now, they won't get everyone we covet. But enough where we miss on certain needs and take a potentially program defining class like OSU and UGA has been doing the past two years down to lower top 10 status. Still enough talent but missing out some impact players who will be led elsewhere after serious negative recruiting against LSU and the state of the program by that time. The new guy and his recruiters would have to hit it out of the park like Dinardo and Saban did their first two years as far as recruiting to catch up.

I fully expect that there will be zero chance O will be our coach in 2020, less than 20% in 2019 and 50/50 even as soon as the end of 2018. He may think about leaving La. after that. He has shown the capability of complete self-destruction. Peter Principle and Darwin Theory type self destruction.
