I would think it might be better to get a guide down in Delacroix or shell beach rather than trying to get a guide for lake pontchartrain if you are trying to bring inexperienced people.
Live shrimp under a popping cork couldn't get easier. Jig heads at the train bridge. Probably can't get much harder.

Hopefully we won’t spend much time jigging around bridges. Me and the other guys are experienced enough to catch that way, but the women will probably only catch sheepshead/reds/drum with dead shrimp on shorelines.
Lake p is tricky. I’ve lived 2 blocks from it for 5 years and haven’t really figured her out

Mike only fishes at the bridges when it is pretty easy pickings for the trout. He does a lot of fishing in the Biloxi marsh on the other side of Lake Borgne from the Rigolets.

Sorry wasn't directed at you. Was just mentioning that to gooseman complaining he couldn't get his gf to catch fish.
I was just saying if that was the purpose of the trip I don't think lake p was the best place to fish

I would personally go with Mike Gallo. He should be able to accomodate you. Nothing against the other captains, but Mike puts more time on the water than any of them. Also Eric left me a bad taste in my mouth. About 6 years ago in May I was on a real good trout bite in the Bayou Bienvenue area. I tipped him off after I showed him a pic of 2-3 lb trout. A couple months later I asked if he had any advice or hear anything and he acted like I didn't exist. I haven't responded to any of his texts since.
