Soooo many whiners in this thread. LOL at the need to "limit" out every time you hunt.

Yall have no idea how many duck hunters across the country are lucky to limit out a handful of times a year. There's plenty of guys that hunt just to shoot their guns once or twice at some divers or shovelnose with the off chance something else will fly by occasionally.

Just because its not amazing like the folk lore of the past, doesn't mean you can't still enjoy yourself. Who honestly wants a freezer full of duck breasts anyway? If I wanted to fill my freezer I'd hunt or fish for something other then ducks. Just saying, you got it good even if its a bad year in Louisiana.

Maybe what the state needs is to go back to the really lean years of the 80's when we had a 3 or 4 duck limit and 30 days to hunt.

People don't expect to limit out every time they hunt I wouldn't think. Yeah we used to kill a lot more birds back in the 90's and early 2000's where I hunt and that changes. What really makes me miss the old days is how the birds work. They are so pressured today by so many hunters throwing out mojo and shooting at 60 yard high birds that they don't work like they used to. There is nothing better than watching a group do it right and working down feet first. I watched several hundred birds last week flaring off live ducks on the water.

I for one am amazed how many people from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, etc. get in leases and drive to hunt and pressure ducks in Arkansas the last several years. A lot of these younger hunters seem to just want to kill a pile, put a pic on social media, and never even clean or eat the birds they kill. Curious if you personally don't like eating the ducks what you do with them?

I would consider this a good season. I can't remember the last time I've even killed a limit in Louisiana. It's been years ago.

Limits? Damn son, all I want is a few willing greenheads to call at. To clarify, I just want to see them and get the chance.
