Glorifying people who exist to make other people money is the American way. I ain't for it. I'm good enough at my job to be able to keep it without having to devote more of my life to my job. I'd rather make myself indispensable on my terms.

That’s fine but don’t complain about a wage gap when men are more willing to give more. Men and women are generally built differently. Men value some things more than women and vice versa. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. But don’t blame men for doing what they enjoy that provides more value to a company. Women will get paid more if they provide the same value. Simple as that. Why on earth would a company hire men if they could pay women a discount and receive the same value in return? It’s like you’re saying companies don’t value profit.
