Why is this ignorant? Have you played it? I have, along with ~175 other courses all over the US, including 9 in the top 100 “you can play”

The actual golf holes of Torrey Pines South are not very good. It’s one long, straight, narrow, flat Par 4 after another. The first Par 3 is a great hole, but that’s as good as it gets. The rest of the holes are boring and monotonous. Those are just the facts.

If the course wasn’t on bluffs overlooking the Ocean, it wouldn’t be a course that you’d travel to go play. It wouldn’t be on any list. It wouldn’t be good enough to host the PGA Tour and it certainly wouldn’t have hosted a US Open. So, like I said, you probably wouldn’t have heard of it.
