Yes, it was just a shameless plug for the kid I know who just happens to be good enough to play for LSU. I could not let him go unnoticed like I let the kid I coached in Denham Springs go unnoticed years ago. I will always wonder how much better would LSU have been if Stefon LeFors have been the quarterback. I knew how good he was as a kid and after I moved to Texas had my mother follow all the kids I coached all the way up through their senior year in high school. I suspected he could be very good at the college level but I did not know anything about the Internet then and how to spread the news about his talents. Good thing his family believed enough to send out highlights of him to colleges. As they say, “the rest is history.” I will always look for LSU caliber players in any sport and let them know about LSU. Friday afternoon I am on my way home to eat crawfish in Denham Springs on Saturday. I will introduce my family to Mike VI next week and hope to have some good pictures of Mike to show my neighbor.

I really hope Les doesn't read the rant.

The best way to spread the news to coaches is to get him in camps.
eta: don't get me wrong, we enjoy seeing his highlights please continue. I just don't think this is the best medium to get the LSU coaches interested in him.

The kid looks good on the videos. The only thing I can say bad about him is I don't remember seeing anything about him in the paper. I remember reading an article pimping their O-Line last year but, nothing about their skill players. Seems if he was as good as he looks on those tapes they would've written something about him. They have very extensive coverage of local sports here. Hell I've seen high school volleyball games on local tv here, so he should've received more pub.
