This is very true. Birmingham was a shithole for a long time, but their downtown is actually becoming kinda nice. Huntsville is gorgeous, and the gulf coast has always been beautiful.

Birmingham is meh. It's a very dangerous city with some nice suburbs and Detroit level demographics
