There's that whole "rough start" part. And the whole pushing his OC out the door after 1 year thing. And the fact he's never been entrusted to run one side of the ball succesfully, let alone a program.

Well, Kirby didn't push out his OC after year 1. Also, Kirby won't entirely rely on hiring excellent coordinators on both sides of the ball after each one he pushes out because of his undeserved inflated ego. This model simply isn't sustainable.
