It wasn't necessary, but it would have been the right thing to do. Deleting the thread was petty and unnecessary.

This thing was organized over the course of several months. Don't you think if it were easier to send emails he would have taken that route?
It's fine, it's your board and you can do whatever you want but let's stop pretending like the man was running a cooler business out of the outdoor board.

Yes but we had people trying to arrange with other board members to pick up their coolers too. They may not have emails for each other yet. It was an ongoing discussion....could have easily anchored the thread so it went off the main page but was still available for those involved

Lot easier for NC to keep 150+ different people updated with replies in a thread we can all see instead of having his email inbox bombarded with people that are probably all asking the same questions over and over.
Plus some posters who live farther away from NO/BR areas were trying to coordinate with other posters that live in the same general area to have one person pickup multiple orders and haul back.
