Birds don't show up on radar going thousands of miles per hour. Some people just do not want to face reality. They are scared shitless of what they don't understand and maybe for good reason.

The aliens could be coming from another dimension. If they want earth, they probably wouldn't have any problem exterminating us. They would be intelligent enough to know that we extend a large amount of resources in order to be able to kill other people. Also, it is legal to exterminate babies.
