Yes, I have had 2. Back in 1999, I was living with sinus infections. My GF at the time told me about Dr. Daniel Jacob. He operated on me for a deviated septum and opened my sinus cavities up.
The surgery was next to nothing. The day following the outpatient surgery I took a pain pill, and he removed the packing. It felt like a golf ball exiting my nostril. Pressure, no pain.
Once a week for the next 4 weeks, I had to go in to remove the dried blood and gunk. He would deaden the nostril and I felt nothing. He removed the guitar pick-like things and I felt like a new man.
I did not suffer another infection for 18 months.
My second surgery was 2 years ago for a polyp removal. Outpatient, no issue with pain.
I am on allergy shots now and have not suffered a sinus infection for over a year.
If I had to do it over again, I would have removed my tonsils. Now THAT is a brutal surgery as an adult.
