Nothing to do with Star Wars mythology
It’s just a terrible terrible film
And it's not a terrible film. It's a little overstuffed but it juggles every thread pretty well. Ultimately the main meat of the plot was a simple escape from the bad guys and that led different places but it was pretty contained.
