Possibly. But who is expecting a camera to come through their ceiling? It sounds strange, but I think they just didn't notice it. How often do you look at your ceiling? It was the early 80's. That kind of technology was really in its infancy.
What a time to be alive! Not only were there games where getting completely fricking drunk was mandatory, but the dean was the MC of the games!
