LSU basketball's next two opponents are surprisingly exciting matchups

We have Houston on Wednesday who is 8-1 and could be one of the top teams in the American conference along with Wichita State, Memphis, Connecticut and Cincinnati. They've received votes in both national polls and they destroyed Arkansas earlier this season who has been decent so far.
Then we have Stephen F. Austin on Saturday and they are 9-1 and lead the nation in steals at over 13 a game! They also have a whole week to prepare and will likely be a tournament team as long as they win their conference which they should so there could be a chance for a quality win against them this weekend.
Also interesting LSU shoots the third highest field goal percentage in the nation. The two teams ahead of them (Xavier and VT) are a combined 18-2 which is an indicator of a disciplined team on offense. Exciting to hear Wade's focus has been on improving the defense in recent practices. With a marginal improvement on that side of the ball we can be in contention for a bubble spot in the tournament this season.

Any update on Sampson? Hope he can at least come back for some minutes against SFA.

Yes, looks like the home OOC will have some good teams after all.
Houston embarrassed Arkansas. The way our defense has played pretty much all year, at this point in time a win over Houston would seem to be a quality win, and honestly I'd be a bit surprised if we do beat them.

Agree. These will be challenging and I hope we can pick up a win.
