yep. i can tell my dot to dim my lights or change white level so i can see what i'm doing at the kitchen island or to start/stop/change playing music on my sonos setup or turn the pool pump on since its going down to 19 degrees tonight and i dont want the pipes to freeze and i dont want to traipse 200 feet down a wet cold hill in the dark to my pool and fumble around turning it on.

my wife got in a bind moving a bed and called down to my son to come help her without having to drop the bed and physically go find him. we have a 4,200sf house and he's in a basement bedroom at the other end so she could have gotten hurt if he hadn't been able to come help her just by her using her voice.

my 3yo called me at work the other day 'call from alexa' and that was a conversation i'll cherish the rest of my life. he was as amazed he could call me as i was getting the call.

quick: how many tablespoons in a cup? how many cups in 1/2 gallon? its easier to ask alexa than try & look up the conversion somewhere.
