i had this same problem a couple months ago. researched the crap out of it on youtube. Change the lid switch. you can do it yourself in about 30 minutes. Buy the switch ($35) at an appliance store.

Arghh. See guys what you did does not work for all.
It's like, say I was a Jaguar mechanic and someone here asked how to do rear brakes on a chevy.
If I told him.
"Well you don't need to take the wheels off to change the brake just jack it up and the brakes are right there on the rear end."
The advice wouldn't work. Because it's very specific.
No machine spins with a bad lid switch, some machines drain with a bad lid switch.
Op said unit spins.
So it can't be the lid switch
