That is a weird case. I am certainly sympathetic to victims of sexual abuse, and I have little doubt that there are many very real cases. I do, however, believe there are plenty of women that wake up the next morning ashamed of their actions and allege it was no consensual. Not saying that happened here, but men are wrongly accused. Look at the Duke Lacrosse team as the perfect example.

No DA and no judge want to be accused of not taking rape seriously. As a result neither will take a position they just let the jury decide and get to wash their hands of it.
