No where did I say Obama did better.

All I’m saying is Trump could be doing much better if he wasn’t such a populist on certain economic topics.

Factor endowments ... labor, land, capital, technology.

We don’t have a comparative advantage in manufacturing labor, therefore it makes no sense for us to spend so much time and effort putting eggs in that basket.

We are better off as a nation focusing on capital and technology and then trading for manufactured goods. This is rock solid economic theory that the right used to support until Trump.
