As someone who works in the ER, this is the correct answer. So much dumb crap happens with ATVs. It sucks to have to tell parents that their 4 year old is going to lose his thumb because they weren’t watching him fiddle with the strap on the back of the ATV.

A senior at my high school died in an ATV incident. They would go to this wooded area that was being cleared out for a subdivision riding the hills that the crews were forming. Kid went to drive over a hill that they had passed over the last time they were out there, but apparently the crews had dug out the other side. He went over the edge and the ATV fell on him, crushing his skull. The other kids had to basically hold his brains in to get him to the ambulance. Just a few weeks shy of graduation.
