Wow, these threads used to be hoppin. What happened?
That is a great question and I am glad you asked. My summation may be inadequate but here goes.
In the beginning there was tons of action and interesting things happening. There were female officers that, while not smoking hot, were cute, all-American girls. There were cool dogs that did cool chases of criminals and they would bite the hell out of people that deserved it.
There was one show that had an absolute badass in an old Ford ranger that ran for an hour like he was in a video game. The cops were cool and you could see them as your neighbor or trading beers.
Once the show figured out what people liked they changed it all. It is all about somebody not turning their blinker on for a full 2.5 seconds before changing lanes so their car must be searched.
Every show is mostly about cops searching cars and finding a smidgeon of weed. It is the same crap, demanding that people tell on themselves and dumbasses in $2500 cars.
Add to this the plethora of commercials that are now force fed to us in ever increasing "breaks". 6-7 minute commercial breaks are an abortion, tarnishing the beauty of what used to be a simple pleasure.
It is becoming almost a chore to wade through the commercials to watch the boring mind-garbage that is becoming tiresome. We grow weary.
TLDR: We didn't change, they did.

I'm amazed at the amount of vehicles that smell like weed

Well said. I agree with you. I don't think we are getting the most exciting stuff from them on purpose
