In my main league about 10 years ago, my brother finished the regular season 13-0, I snuck into the playoffs at 6-7 and beat him in the first round on my way to winning the championship. ‘‘Twas amazing.

My brother went 16-0 one year, but lost his first playoff game. That’s the year he had Brady and Moss.

I'm in the midst of one right now. Bye already locked up, just need two more W's. Just got incredibly lucky in the draft.

I had an undefeated season 2 years ago.

Outscored everyone weekly by 50. Had every superstar and Breakout player starting that year. Brady, Gronk, Freeman, AB, BMarshall, Jeffery

Ended up losing by 80 in the semifinals to a team thatpicked uo david Johnson.

Yep. Went 16-0 in my 32 team league last year. (13 wins in regular season and 3 playoff wins).

Went 15-1 in that league the year before too (lost in our Super Bowl).

10-2 this year with a chance to go 11-2.

So regular season record for 3 years will either be 36-3 or 37-2.

Too bad I typically under-achieve in my money league.

is this fun, at all? it seems like it would be 1 decent draft pick and the rest scrubs putting up 2 points a week

I’ve never seen it

I went 12-1 a few years ago. I crushed everyone and I think I scored 150 in the only loss. That was the year Gordon went off and Hopkins finished strong.

I predictably put up like 80 points in semifinals and lost

It's quite . . . involved.

60 mil salary cap with 32-40 players (everyone [IDP included] except offensive linemen and punters) for each active roster with a 6 player practice squad. Also a 4 round rookie draft with compensatory picks based on free agent losses vs signings. Also, restricted free agency and unrestricted free agency based on the contracts (4 year max [except for 1st round picks in rookie draft]; but you can franchise up to 3 years).

It's for someone who wants to do it year-round(-ish) and has the patience to do it for a few years (it can take time for a team to get all the pieces). Far too many of the newer members try to pile up picks the 1st year and then get bored in the following years and drop out.

As for scoring:
We've tweaked the scoring over the years to get the offense and defense to be somewhat approximately the same.

With 8 offensive players (QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, and 1 R/W/T) and 12 defensive players (3 DL, 3 LB, 4 DB, 2 Flex/ID), it's easy to get over 100 points and close to 200 or more on occasion.

For example, here is part of the break-down of scoring for last year:

Yes I am currently 24-0, we play a double header each week in my 12 man league. By far my best team I've ever had. I have Cousins, Melvin Gordon, Leonard Fournette, Karen Hunt, Golden Tate, Robby Anderson, Adam Thielen, D Hopkins, Travis Kelce, Will Lutz, Jags Def.

A couple of years ago I lost the very first week in my league at work, and it wasn’t close. I then went on to win every game after that including the championship.

It's really not. It's intricate but not like 12 hours a day with no time for other things. Like a winning free agency bid has to be in place for 24 hours to win and you have 12 hours to make a rookie draft pick; it covers a large period of the year but a few quick checks during the day/night during the most hectic times are probably the most you'll need.

Now the record-keeping (salary cap, draft picks) can be a little bit of a pain (typically to just get it started) but a spreadsheet takes care of most of that trouble. Then it's just updating as you go.

Here's the crazy part; since it grew out of a long-time sports board (that's now gone), NOTHING!!!!!!! It's basically a pride/smack talk thing.

Thing is, I think the cost to run our site is trivial for the admin (I think he's in IT or has other sites so not really a problem) and then he just paid the 79.95 lifetime fee for fantrax years ago (so no cost for the premium fantrax league anymore). I think people have chipped in to help cover it since then; I don't know about the NBA, NHL, MLB, CFB, etc leagues.

I’ve never seen anyone go undefeated, but I did see someone in my very competitive 12 man league go 0-13 last year, then won the consolation tournament

If I remember correctly, he lost 7 games by less that 10 points

I ran a girls team 2 years ago and she went undefeated. I drafted for her, did the waiver wire and even made a trade. The guys in her league had no idea and thought she was a wizard. The year before that I drafted for a friend and he ended up winning the title.

Me, I’ve never won a championship. I just lose in the playoffs every year and then want to jump off a cliff.
