I've often wondered how a silver spoon fed Rich New Yorker, raised Democrat, could Captivate the minds of so many Southern conservatives.
Many would say look no further than voters and their tendencies towards authoritarian rule.
I'm not saying any of this is fact but looking for a link between Trump and his voter base... it has to be a factor. Maybe not but if you disagree, state otherwise.

It’s pretty simple really. He spoke positively about America for the first time in eight years. Your fricking Pearl Jam handle is lame as hell, btw.

Thanks for the links. It's a real concern. The younger one is the less likely one is to say that living in a democracy is essential ( LINK). These attitude changes have been seen in other countries where "democratic deconsolidation" has occurred with degradation of democratic processes, failures in rule of law, free speech & press, rights of dissidents, etc. Trump is a symptom of devaluation of traditional democratic norms and a preference of some for authoritarians.

Trump is not an authoritarian. Authoritarians don't appoint originalists to federal courts. Authoritarians don't reduce govt power by deregulation of the private sector.

I've seen about as much authoritarian rule out of him as I saw socialism from Obama.
All you sheep prone to fear mongering are fricking up the country.
