My grandfather served in WW2, I'd never want to live the horrors he told and saw me. Grown men pissing themselves, screaming for their moms, men who killed for no other reason then they were told to. Kids no older then 18 who couldn't even grow facial hair shot and killed within moments of arriving. He witnessed people turn their guns on themselves and kill themselves because they didn't want to fight, so yeah, no I'm good on that. I've no interest in re-living any of that or seeing any of it. That's just his fellow soldiers too, not even the POW's, ovens filled with ashes of the Jewish or ditches full of bodies.

Well said. My grandfather served. He received the Purple Heart. The stories he told were heart breaking.

Hey... that wasn’t in Call of Duty..?

But I’d be interested to see what my Grandfather did. He served on the USS Alabama, and jumped off the front of the ship when they were off the coast of Washington State just for fun. That’s really the only story I know regarding his time on the ship. Probably wouldn’t be all that interesting, but I know they didn’t have any casualties during the war.
