I like Waddell but disagree on him with saying we have all done it.
Shooting that second buck square in the arse like the video showed was one of the most disgusting hunting related things I have ever seen. Gives anti-hunters the exact kind of ammo that we don't need to give them....

Every TV personality can come or go, I really dont care. But there was a whole lot more in the Brackett video than an illegal harvest.

1.) He was disrespectful to the landowner when he shot the first deer. If you cant honor a handshake, you cant do much.

2.) He chose to shoot the second deer. That is just illegal.

3.) He shot the deer in the arse, I dont think that needs any additional explanation.

4.) He talked to his cameraman like an a-hole. Ive shared blinds with many people, I have never heard anyone be an a-hole to their blindmate.

Hunting shows dont show them to be better than the viewer, if you cant understand the context of the hunting show then you may be too ignorant to be armed and in the woods in the first place. Their are alot of them that are multiple times better hunter than me. I dont doubt that one bit.

At the end of the day, you have to know why you hunt. I do it for fun, I do it to hang out, I do it to kill a few ducks and a couple deer. I do it because I want to raise my boys how I was raised, I think things like showing respect to adults at the camp, learning to interact with others (sometimes you need Crazy Mr Joe in your life), thinking through problems presented in the outdoors, appreciating sunrises and sunsets and campfires can play a part in making them the men I hope they become.
